My Muffin Meal Planner
Privacy Policy
MMMP is designed to work locally without an account. This policy explains what stays on your device, what leaves only when you choose an external action, and the limited diagnostic data used by the Android barcode SDK.
Effective September 15, 2026The short version
- No MMMP account, advertising, developer-owned analytics, or developer cloud database.
- Your inventory, photos, recipes, plans, settings, and shopping information stay in local app storage unless you choose to export or share a backup.
- External actions, including UPC lookup, Google price search, support, email, and backup sharing, happen only after you choose them.
Information stored on your device
My Muffin Meal Planner (MMMP) is provided by Hapa Muffin Studio LLC. MMMP stores inventory entries, optional photos and dates, recipes, meal plans, shopping-list information, dietary preferences or restrictions you choose to enter, settings, saved store-price observations, optional ZIP or postal information, and related notes in local app storage.
On Android, this information is stored in the app’s private database and files. MMMP does not provide automatic cloud synchronization or developer-operated cloud recovery.
You can create a portable backup and choose where to save or share it. A backup can contain the information and photos you entered into MMMP. You are responsible for protecting backup files and choosing a trusted destination.
Barcode scanning and product lookup
On Android, MMMP’s barcode scanner uses the bundled Google ML Kit SDK. Google states that barcode images and decoded results are processed on the device and are not sent to Google by ML Kit. The SDK may collect encrypted device and app information, performance metrics, API configuration and event information, error codes, and a per-installation identifier for diagnostics and usage analytics. Google states that this metrics data is not shared with third parties.
If you choose to look up a scanned or typed UPC or EAN, MMMP sends the barcode number to Open Food Facts over an encrypted connection. MMMP sends the barcode number, not the camera image or your inventory photo. Open Food Facts may return product, ingredient, allergen, serving, nutrition, packaging, and image information, which MMMP may keep in your local database and portable backup.
Learn more from ML Kit Terms & Privacy, ML Kit’s Android data disclosure, Google’s Privacy Policy, and Open Food Facts privacy information.
Optional web searches
If you choose the price-search action, MMMP opens a Google search containing the ingredient name, any store name you entered for that search, and the ZIP or postal value saved in MMMP. Google processes that search under Google’s Privacy Policy. Local Market Estimates inside MMMP otherwise use bundled reference data and do not contact a live pricing service.
Optional project support
The Buy Me a Muffin action opens a separate page on hapamuffinstudio.com. That page loads PayPal components, and your browser may send PayPal standard device and request information. If you choose to make a voluntary payment, PayPal processes it under PayPal’s Privacy Statement and terms.
MMMP does not receive or store your card, bank, PayPal, or Venmo sign-in credentials. Support is optional and does not unlock app features, content, or benefits.
Optional recipe-review email
You can save a review email address on your device. If you choose Email Recipe for Review, MMMP opens a prefilled draft in your device’s mail app addressed to that email. The draft contains the selected user-created recipe and its internal Recipe ID. MMMP does not send the message automatically; you can review, edit, cancel, or send it in your mail app. If you send it, your mail provider and the recipient process the information under their own practices.
Information Hapa Muffin Studio receives
The current MMMP app has no developer account system, advertising, developer-owned analytics or telemetry, crash-reporting service, or developer-operated cloud database. Google ML Kit’s limited SDK metrics are described above. Hapa Muffin Studio does not receive a copy of your MMMP inventory or meal-planning database through ordinary app use.
The web host may process ordinary request information, such as an IP address and browser information, when you visit a Hapa Muffin Studio web page. Hapa Muffin Studio does not add advertising or analytics trackers to the MMMP or Privacy Policy pages.
If you voluntarily contact Hapa Muffin Studio, the message, your email address, and any information you choose to include are used to respond, troubleshoot, protect the service, and improve the product. Email is handled by the email provider used by Hapa Muffin Studio. Messages may be retained for as long as reasonably needed for those purposes or legal obligations, then deleted when no longer needed.
Deleting your information
You can remove individual records in MMMP. You can delete all locally stored app information by clearing MMMP’s app storage or uninstalling the app. Backups and information you voluntarily sent to another service must be deleted from those locations separately.
MMMP has no user account to close and Hapa Muffin Studio has no server-side copy of your local database to delete.
Children
MMMP is intended for users age 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13.
Health and nutrition limitation
MMMP is a meal-planning and organizational tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. It is not medical, dietary, or nutritional advice. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as MMMP changes. The current version and effective date will remain posted at this permanent Privacy Policy address.
